Get whisker to whisker diving with the Seals at Montague / Barunguba Island!

The seals are not shy at all and will often jump in the water in large numbers to come investigate and play with you. This is a super fun and interactive experience.

This is for divers whom are already certified. 

Our prices include a PADI Instructor / Dive Master in the water with you. If you would like to snorkel with the seals during your surface interval JUMP right in! Visibility ranges from 10-40m+ 

A shallow section of the reef in the Marine Park, known as the Aquarium, is the best spot to interact with the seals. The deeper sections of the reef offer beautiful marine life, turtles, golden kelp beds, large bull rays, grey nurse sharks (November- April), wobbegong sharks, port jackson sharks, nudibranchs, numerous fish species and MORE SEALS!

In order to experience the best diving of the day, our knowledgeable skippers examine wind speed, direction, tides and swell then will decide the best sites to visit. Don't worry we are lucky that we can always access the seal sites!

November - May we offer the EPIC shark and seal dive combo! This is an awe-inspiring double dive. The graceful Grey Nurse sharks are some of our favourites to dive with. They range from 1.5 - 3m in length and casually cruise along kelp bed gutters. The seals are regularly on this dive too! We do have times when the Grey Nurse sharks are not present in the area – please enquire about recent sightings when booking to have realistic expectations. The site can also be affected by the ocean conditions so our legendary captain will make the call on whether we can access the site safely.

December – May is when it is best to dive with the totally adorable SEAL PUPS! Need we say more!

September – November is during the great Southern Whale migration! Humpback Whales travel past our coastline in excellent numbers. It's quite regular to have whales singing or breaching on the trip as well as pods of dolphins along side the boat. 

We have a full range of dive equipment for hire if needed. Just select them as extras when booking.

Itinerary

• Meet at Apex Park Boat Ramp Narooma
• Dive equipment fitting if you need, sight certification cards and load the boat
• Briefing of dives including boat safety and guidance for best interactions with the seals
• Boat trip 10-15 min
• Dive 1
• Surface Interval - Snorkel with the seals and enjoy yummy snacks & refreshments onboard
• Dive 2
• Return to Narooma

Please be mindful that all of our tours are dependent on the ocean conditions and minimum numbers to go ahead.

Sometimes tours get moved to earlier time slots.  If this is a possibility we will give you as much notice as possible.

Once you have completed your booking with us you will receive a confirmation email with the tour time. You will only hear from us if we have to make any changes due to the weather.  Check you have entered your mobile number and email correctly.

Sea sickness can be experienced even in slight seas and will ruin your awesome day.  We highly recommend heading to the chemist to get some over the counter tablets prior to your trip with us.
