Get ready for one of the funnest experiences you can do on the South Coast! The seals are not shy at all and will often jump in the water in large numbers to come investigate and play with you. This is a super fun and interactive experience.

Avoid the crowds, Underwater Safaris offers adventures specialising in smaller, more personalised groups.  Our 3-4.5hr hour round trip includes an awesome boat ride to Montague Island. On your journey look out for flying fish, dolphins, migratory birds & whales (September-November).

OUR PADI INSTRUCTORS & DIVE MASTERS WILL TAKE EXCELLENT CARE OF YOU!

Before snorkelling your guide will run though your equipment and if you have never snorkelled before; give you additional easy to follow instructions. We have noodles for extra flotation if required & weight belts for freedivers.

Once we arrive at the island we will roll back into one of the shallow and sheltered bays and get whisker to whisker with the seals! Enjoy being in the water as long as possible or jumping in and out between snacks and refreshments.

September – November is during the great southern whale migration! On their epic journey back to Antarctica humpback whales travel past our coastline in excellent numbers. It is a quite regular to have whales singing or breaching on the trip as well as pods of dolphins along side the boat. 

December – May is when it's best to meet the seasons adorable seal pups! AMAZING!

• Meet at Apex Park Boat Ramp Narooma
• Check In
• Wetsuit fitting if you need one and load the boat
• Briefing of activities including boat safety and guidance for best interactions with the seals
• Boat trip 10-15 min
• Snorkel/Freedive
• Yummy snacks & refreshments
• 2nd Snorkel/Freedive
• Return to Narooma

Please be mindful that all of our tours are dependent on the ocean conditions and minimum numbers to go ahead. Sometimes tours get moved to earlier time slots.  If this is a possibility we will give you as much notice as possible.

Sea sickness can be experienced even in slight seas.  We recommend seeking advice from your chemist to combat this prior to your tour.
